Background to my Sixtieth Birthday Treat On the 15th of September 2006, a group of my friends, relatives and my wife, treated me to a very different sort of 60th birthday surprise. - I awoke that morning thinking I was going to have a nice day attending a meeting in Surrey, followed by a peaceful evening studying the 'dancing skills' of some young ladies at the Heathrow branch of Spearmint Rhino.
Instead they had been plotting and organising for months, an incredible treat in which I was given the chance to drive (or in some case ride in) a selection of some sixty very special vehicles. These ranged from a Skate Board, to the Brooklands Concord. It was a most wonderful and memorable day, made the more enjoyable because of the all effort they had all gone to. Me being delivered in vehicle number seven, complete with scantily clad nurses |
